First

Let's discuss your concerns through a free consultation to determine if a speech and language evaluation is appropriate for your child.

Second

Our next step is to make sure there is a weekly timeslot we can reserve for you while you sign the consent forms. Once signed, we'll schedule a day for an evaluation. After the evaluation, a report will be developed and we will discuss the results.

T hird

If we determine to move forward with
speech-language sessions, sessions will begin at the weekly time block you reserved. If more sessions are recommended, we can discuss additional session openings.
Parents are invited to play their part by joining us in sessions. We encourage participation so strategies can be practiced together and implemented at home.

All new clients must have an evaluation prior to our first treatment session. This helps us determine your child's specific area(s) of need and what therapy approach(s) may be most appropriate. If you have an evaluation report from another provider (less than 6 months old), we can review it to determine if a new evaluation is required.

You will receive: written report, treatment plan, and a phone call to review the report and treatment plan together
Speech Sound Evaluation $250
Speech Sound and Language Evaluation $375
Individual Therapy Session
Includes: direct therapy, invitation for parent involvement during sessions, progress reports each trimester, and home practice suggestions
30 min individual session $70 per session​
Family Coaching Consultations​
​Coaching consultations are run in person, via phone call, or virtual meet up. They are well-suited for the following topics:
- Language enrichment 
- Introductory support for implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
Language Enrichment: Learn how to provide a language rich environment for your little one. We will discuss your current challenges, your personal goals, and next steps. During our consultation, you will be guided how to set up the environment and how to respond to encourage language. Additionally, we will discuss play and how to improve on how you currently play with your child to maximize language opportunities. 

AAC: Did your child recently receive an AAC device or have had one for a while, but need support? If you find yourself getting frustrated with understand how to best implement AAC with your child and need introductory guidance, then this is the place to be. If you have just started using AAC with your child but want continued support in how to navigate this new communication support, I can help with that too!
This is appropriate for family members and professionals wanting to learn more about AAC and how to support their children and/or clients/students.  
*Note there may be restrictions in my support level if you are unable to edit the device or if it is locked. Additionally, depending on how the device was supplied to you, I may have editing restrictions. You are responsible for bringing the device to each consulation session, charged. 

Are coaching sessions right for me?
Do you find yourself wishing you could have a speech therapist to consult with regarding day-to-day communication with your child? Imagine learning how to embed strategies as you go about your day - no need for setting time aside for 'homework' or workbooks. Your daily routines and play are the ideal settings for language. You are with your child for several hours a day making you the perfect resource. Families who sign up for coaching consultations will select a date for an appointment. These appointments are just for you - no other families will be joining. A short inquiry form will be sent prior to each session to maximize our time during the coaching consultation. This is our time to explore opportunities in your unique lives and routines where language can flourish. We can uncover various language opportunities and how they can be implemented with different family members and activities. *** Parent coaching consultation sessions will not include the child as this may be misconstrued as a formal treatment session. Coaching consultations are meant for parent(s) to consult with a speech-language pathologist to gather valuable information about how to incorporate strategies into routines and play. Additionally, coaching consultations are not the same as speech therapy. If a speech-language evaluation and/or therapy sessions have been recommended, we encourage you take this step towards your child's communication needs. ​The  No  Surprise  Act
The No Surprise Act went into effect January 1, 2022. This protects you from expensive, unexpected medical bills. This act applies to audiologists and speech-language pathologists who serve uninsured clients choosing to opt in to self-pay as well as insurance in which the provider is out-of-network. As a health care provider, Playing Our Part will provide clients with a Good Faith Estimate. This informs clients of the cost of the scheduled experience to be expected before the service is conducted.  Learn more >>
