What is the difference between a screening vs. evaluation? A screening is quick and informal. It is not as detailed as an evaluation which will provide more detailed information. If you are interested in moving onto an evaluation after the screening (or instead of doing a screening), please let us know. How long is the screening? This is different for each child as some need frequent breaks. I typically complete screenings within 15 - 30 minutes. How is payment managed? $10 payment accepted the day of at the start of the screening session. Payment is accepted through cash or check made out to Playing Our Part Speech Therapy, P.C. Can I be present for the screening? Absolutely! An adult must be present for the duration of the screening. I can't make the screening date, when is the next one? Keep your eye out on our social media pages and our website. Additionally, feel free to contact us and we can reach out to you when we begin scheduling screenings for the next screening event. I have concerns with my child's language skills. Can they still participate in the screening? If you have concerns about your child's language skills, then I suggest you complete a general contact form here so we can discuss in detail about your concerns. If we participate in the screening are we signing up for weekly sessions? This is commitment free. There is no pressure to sign up for an evaluation or treatment sessions. We are here to spread awareness and support the community regarding speech sound disorders If we sign up for a screening, are we guaranteed a weekly spot?
